REFURBISHED
ATMs vs. NEW ATMs
To some companies, refurbished simply means taking an old machine, setting
it up and working, then replacing any worn out parts with used parts
in order to operate the machine. This isn't refurbishing--it's simply selling a used machine!
 At Informa, each refurbished ATM goes through a service process taking
between 45 and 55 hours of work and rebuilding. The following work is
done:
- Fully strip machine down to the bare case, cleaning and completely
refinishing the case.
- Reassembling the machine, as if building a new one from scratch. Any
worn or damaged parts are replaced with new. High service components
such as monitors, card readers, printers, processors and hard drives
are replaced.
- All parts needing replacement are replaced with new original equipment
parts.
- The machine is then tested and run in an off line mode for a period
of 5 hours to ensure that it is exactly as serviceable as it is intended
to be.
- Each machine is certified by Informa to be ready for service maintenance.
The essence of the program is simply this: our customers receive a fully
reconditioned ATM that is certified to perform exactly as a new machine--all
at a savings of 40% to 60%, depending on the particular
make and model of machine. A refurbished ATM from Informa looks in
appearance like a new ATM, performs exactly as a new ATM and offers that
same up to
date technology as a brand new machine!
